The possibilities of glass printing at Riké Group

Would you like to have a small, subtle logo printed on all your glasses? No problem! However, you can also choose to convey a specific message. With this, the glassware can be printed with a specific text or slogan of your choice.

But it's not just in the printing you can vary. We also offer a wide range of different types of glassware. Here are the following categories:

The benefits of printed glasses

There are several benefits that come with printing glasses. This is aimed at both businesses and individuals! These are the following benefits:

  • Personalisation: By printing glasses, you turn a simple glass into a personal item. At a wedding, for example, this is a great extra!
  • Brand awareness: When your company's logo is printed on a glass, the drinker is reminded of your brand with every sip.
  • Marketing for your company: Not only the person using the glass sees your print. In fact, you can reach many more people with it. Think of when a picture is taken of two people each holding the same printed glass. A nice, clear print stands out. This sticks in people's minds, making them quickly recognise your company or association or think of it more quickly.
  • Professional appearance of your brand: By printing your glasses with your logo, you give a professional appearance. It shows that you pay attention to the details of your brand.
  • Unique gifts for individuals and companies: Want to offer a fun personalised gift? Print your glasses with a personal message to your employees or to friends and family, for example. An item someone can enjoy for years to come. And at the same time, you can ensure brand awareness and marketing of your brand when this is a business gift!

So the biggest advantage of printed glasses is that you can convey a clear message. Whether this is to expand your brand awareness or to offer a fun gift. We regularly print beautiful unique glasses for use in hospitality and corporate canteens, as well as for events and weddings.

Riké Group offers the best quality printing

At Riké Group, we print glasses in the best way possible. So you don't have to worry about the quality of the printing. With many prints, you see that after just a few washes, it starts to fade and sometimes even comes off completely. At Riké Group, this does not happen! This is because we print all glasses dishwasher-safe.

There are many different printing techniques for printing glassware. We use three different printing techniques that are all dishwasher-safe. We would be happy to tell you more about them.

Glass printing techniques we use at Riké Group

Each printing technique has its own application. So there is a lot of difference between the different printing techniques. The most commonly used methods for glass printing are screen printing and transfer printing. We also use digital printing for full-colour printing.

Screen printing

As the name suggests, screen printing uses a screen. First, the right colour is mixed. Then the glasses are printed by 'pressing' the screen or screen frame onto the glass with ceramic ink. This ink consists of small pieces of glass mixed with paint. This gives them the right colour. As a final step, this ink is fired into the glass. We do this in the oven. This oven bakes your glasses at about 600 degrees.

Transfer printing

In transfer printing, your logo is printed with ceramic ink. After printing, we soak your logo in water. This loosens the logo from the sheet of paper. This makes it easy to apply the print to the glass. This is usually done manually. After drying, the glassware is fired in the oven.

Digital printing

With digital printing, we make the most beautiful full-colour prints at Riké Group. Think of applications such as on water bottles, long drink glasses or even beer glasses. With digital printing, it is also possible to print ceramic inks. For example, you can choose to print a logo with a colour gradient.

frequently asked questions

Are the printed glasses dishwasher safe?

It depends on the type of glass and the printing technique. In screen and transfer printing, ceramic ink is burned into the glass at 600°C. This is the maximum temperature before glass melts. The result is scratch-resistant and rinser-resistant, suitable for intensive catering use. Please note that in an ordinary dishwasher at home or in the office, the print may fade slightly over time, depending on dishwasher detergent, washing temperature and colour usage. For tea glasses and double-walled glasses, a lower burn-in temperature of 140°C applies. The print is not scratch-resistant and not rinser-proof there. We therefore recommend engraving for these glasses as a sustainable alternative.

What is the minimum print run for printing glasses?

Starting from 36 pieces. Both small series and larger pallet orders are welcome. The price per piece depends on the type of glass, the printing technique, the number of colours and the print run. Larger series are cheaper per piece. Ask for a quotation without obligation.

What is the glass printing process like at Riké Group?

The glass printing process at Riké Group involves four steps:

  1. Choose your glass and print run from our range or deliver the glasses yourself.
  2. Deliveryour own logo, text or design, preferably as a vector file (AI, EPS or PDF). No ready-to-print file? We will help you for free.
  3. Receive a free digital proof for approval.
  4. After your approval, we will start production. Standard delivery time is 10-15 working days.

What are the best printing techniques for glass printing?

Screen printing and transfer printing use ceramic ink fired at 600°C. This is scratch-resistant and washable. Digital printing and UV printing are suitable for full-colour designs. Pad printing works well for round shapes, engraving for a permanently stylish result without colour. Riké Group recommends the best technique for your application.

What is the difference between glass printing and engraving?

Printing involves applying colour to the glass, from one colour to full-colour. Engraving involves removing material from the glass, giving a permanent matt effect without colour. Printing is ideal for eye-catching branding with a logo or design. Engraving gives a stylish, luxurious look, suitable for exclusive corporate gifts or a subtle brand presence. Can I receive a sample first for a large order?

Yes. For larger orders, a physical sample is possible so you can assess the glass, printing and quality before the full run is produced. Please contact our customer service team.

How long does it take to print glasses?

The standard delivery time at Riké Group is 10-15 working days after approval of the digital proof. Do you have a tight deadline? Contact our customer service team, in consultation we will see how we will meet this deadline.

What types of glasses are suitable for printing?

Almost all glasses are suitable for printing: beer glasses, wine glasses, champagne glasses, shot glasses, long drink glasses, tumblers, tea glasses and water bottles. Riké Group has an extensive range and prints both standard catering glassware and specific models to suit your brand or occasion.

Why do companies choose glasses printed with logo?

Printed glasses with logo combine daily use with lasting brand visibility. Unlike many giveaway items, good-quality glasses are kept and used regularly. On the table, behind the bar, at an event or as a tangible reminder. With every use, the recipient sees your logo.
