If you’d like to have mugs engraved with your own logo, the 32 cl London glass mug is one of the few designs where the engraving remains visible through the glass. The mug is 95 mm high, 80 mm in diameter and has a handle, making it suitable for coffee, tea, hot chocolate and latte macchiato. A handle determines where your logo will be placed
With a glass without a handle, you’re free to choose where the print or engraving goes. With a mug, this isn’t the case: the handle determines the layout. Usually, the logo works best directly opposite the handle, as this means a right-handed guest will look straight at it when they lift the mug. If you want it to be visible on both sides, you’ll need to split it across the two areas to the left and right of the handle, which means your design will be narrower on each side. The free digital proof will show you the engraving area to scale, so you can assess the layout in advance.
Laser engraving permanently etches your logo into the glass in a subtle grey-white shade. On a transparent mug, this looks different to how it does on ceramic: when filled with coffee, you can see the engraving on the front and the back shimmers through, giving the image more depth. This works well for fine details in a logo, but bear in mind that very thin lines will have less contrast than on an opaque surface. At 32 cl. this is a generous size, also suitable as a glass for speciality coffees and warm winter drinks. The mug is dishwasher-safe, and because the engraving is in the glass rather than on it, it won’t fade.
