What is borosilicate glass?
Pouring tea in an ordinary glass? Is possible, until your glass gives out after a few times. Borosilicate glass is different. This special glass is made to withstand extreme heat and temperature changes effortlessly. Ideal for high-quality tea glasses and double-walled glasses.
Borosilicate glass is surprisingly light, but iron strong. It is sturdy because it contains boric oxide. It stays clear and sleek for years, without becoming dull or discoloured. Order it without printing? Then you get a pure, minimalist glass that always looks professional. Perfect for both at home and on the table with clients or guests.
Would you still like a glass with your own design or logo? We totally understand; this is a great choice! If you like this, you can opt for sandblasting engraving. This involves a fine jet of grains being blown against the glass under high pressure. This creates a sleek, matt engraving that sits seamlessly in the glass. This result is super strong: it does not wear off and can simply be put in the dishwasher. Even on double-walled glasses, this works well.
Finally, you can also opt for borosilicate glass printing. We do this with special 2-component inks and not with the 'normal' transfer or screen printing. It looks nice, but is not as strong as real engraving. We therefore recommend washing these glasses by hand. Printing with 2-component ink is namely not dishwasher-proof and not scratch-proof.
